Milestone:
50 CANCER PATIENTS IN 101 HRS
SET A RECORD BY PERFORMING NON-STOP SURGERIES ON OVER 50 CANCER PATIENTS FOR 101 HOURS at a stretch at the Bharat Cancer Hospital and Research Institute on Surat-Bardoli Road starting from Feb 10, 2011 to Feb 14, 2011. The marathon surgeries, to be performed by the renowned cancer surgeon’s team – Dr Nikunj Vithlani, Dr Ravi Raj and two cancer specialists from Mumbai - Dr Sanket Mehta and Dr Vishnu Agarwal, will be done on free-of-cost basis in order to commemorate the World Cancer Day.
LIMCA BOOK OF RECORDS Free Oral Cancer Check Up
LIMCA BOOK OF RECORDS On the event of World No Tobacco Day 2012, (May 31, 2012), a free oral cancer check up – saw 2119 patients being examined for Oral Cancer and counselled about the hazards of Tobacco, out of which 410 were found to require further investigations because of Suspicious Lesion. Camp was conducted at Bharat Cancer Hospital & Research Institute, Saroli, Gujarat, supported by Hearts@Work Foundation, Bharat Cancer Hospital & Nirali Memorial Radiation Centre and Larsen & Toubro Ltd (Hazira) on May 27, 2012.
